That time we were getting problem from Geneva's police and international police because we
said that 'Since 1949 the United Nations never look for Tibetan cause, if you are not looking
to Tibetan cause, the burning themselves in Tibet will be in Geneva office of the United
Nations.' We say we write and we appeal them that's what so they were getting their fear
and they were taking actions very *** us. For example, I had one lighter for my
smoke and they took it from me - it's very helpless and I can't forget it till my death...
Q: What has the UN done so far to help?
A: (Sigh) The UN just takes our application and they know everything - our Tibetan issues
and tibetan news but the most difficult thing is that Chinese government they have money
power and we feel that there's no fundamental or basic aim in United Nations office and Human Right office.
We feel if you have no money power, if you have no knowledge, especially if you have
no money power you can't get nothing because the world and especially political leaders
are controlled by the money. They do not stand for the democracy, do not stand for the human
right. We feel like that because since 1949, Chinese Liberation Army entered Tibet and
conquered Tibet. no country and no one from United Nations come and look to Tibetan issues
and from 2008 till now we can say thousands of Tibetan people captured by the Chinese police and all 114
Tibetan people set themselves on fire inside Tibet and also nearly 5 people also burning
themselves outside of Tibet. But as an example United Nations, United States of America and
the United Kingdom, for example very famous Switzerland's government - everyone says 'We
have very deep concern on tibet issues' but on the main point they are looking for the
money, not for human rights - they have no concern on human's lives. There are many of
burning and problems, they have no concern so we feel that if you have no money power,
if you have no gun, you will never get our country back - so we feel like this, like
me, I feel like that...
Q: What do you mean they look for the money?
A: If I have no money I can't get my land, if I have no gun, I can't get it back because
since 1962 till now Tibetan people struggle on peace of law let's say Mahatma Gandhi,
Martin Luther King and Aung San Suu Kyi - many peace leaders and Dalai Lama is one so he
and Tibetan people also do peace protest but United Nations and many countries never look
because on the other side, China has money power and military powerf and they are looking
after them so we feel like this 'If we have no money, if we have no gun, tibet will never
get to us...'
Q: Do you want to introduce a bit about yourself?
A: I was born in Tibet and I had been a monk in Tibet and I studied Tibetan language and
especially Tibetan grammar, poetry, history and Tibetan Buddhism of our 1340 years and
I also studied Tibetan political issues in Tibet. I write some books in Tibetan language
in Tibet and I got problems and last year I came to Switzerland through Nepal - I'm
exile here. I'm studying German language. I feel happy in this free country. Sometime
I'm also bored, many laws, many rules and regulations in Switzerland; and most of people
are very serious *like this*, in train not talking so sometimes I remember (miss) very
much my Asian country (smile)
