Hi, I'm Tina Stull and I drive the Top Dragster for Interstate Batteries. On behalf of Expert
Village I'm here to help you walk through the process of filling out the forms so that
you can compete in the NHRA. I carry a ranking of grade 7, that means that last year I ran
7 races, 7 divisionals. In the grade points, they don't count the national events, so it's
just a way of encouraging that the guys who are racing consistently in the divisionals,
they're the ones that are able to get into the national events. It's a fairly fair system.
So you need to like concentrate if you are starting out on getting those divisional grade
points and then you still might be lucky and be able to get in some national events if
you want. There is a penalty if you don't withdraw. If you are a no show, they're going
to really penalize you. You will not only lose your entry fee but you will also, if
you register for any other national events, your automatically unregistered for those
events. So if you've planned ahead and you have six events and you can't make it and
you just are a no show, they will unregister you from all those races and there is a financial
penalty for that as well. You will have to go, if you still want to go to those races,
re-register, again it's probably full.
