We are going to describe the initial phase of a 4mm cable connectorization.
References CV1, CV2, CE1 & CE1M use this cable.
How we can know?
the sensitive cable...
has about a 4mm diameter.
First of all, we are going to insert the connector cover.
this part will cover the crimping zone.
we have to cut a portion of this part to introduce the cable.
about 5mm
we insert the connector cover on the cable.
Now, we are going to cut a portion of jacket.
We strip about 8cm lenght of jacket.
we put the cable in the "2mm" position,
this way,
now, we can see the kevlar wires
and the fiber with the buffer.
In order to follow with the next step it is needed...
to do...
a lengthwise cut...
we need this cut in order to adapt the cable...
to this connector.
here, we can see the...
lenght of this cut.
Next, we separate the...
kevlar wires...
,it is recommendable...
to do a small cut at the fiber end.
this way make us easier the insertion of the stripper
Next, we enter the fiber into the stripper hole,
,we introduce the jacket as deep as we can.
We clutch strongly while...
pulling.
In this case, we notice that there is too much buffer out.
for this,we repeat the operation.
you can see the buffer...
out of the blade...
in the center hole of the stripper.
We repeat the stripping...
until the buffer lenght is shorter
We have to push into the jacket...
and this is the desired lenght.
The next step is to insert the nut,
for this...
we have to joint the...
fiber with the kevlar wires. (is useful to wet the wires before)
We introduce the wide part of the nut first...
and we turn the nut clockwise.
Now, we turn the nut stronger until it was well tight.
and we check it.
In this case we have to repeat ...
the operation until the nut is well tight.
and this is the end of PART 1. If you want more see the following video.
