(Text on screen): Getting a Safe Welding Ground, Kevin Caron, www.kevincaron.com
The Voice: Hey, Kevin. What are you doing?
Kevin Caron: I'm going to do a little TIG welding here.
Did you guys know, one of the little safety things - I have a little tip for you.
Always try to put your clamp on your work, your ground clamp.
Try to get it on your work rather than on, like, a metal table.
Because if you put it on the table, and you're over here welding, you can now become part of the circuit.
Oh boy, that's exciting.
Yeah, been there, done that. Sorry.
So, always ground to your work. It's a lot safer that way.
You know, if you're working on something big, you could always get a glove.
Put your glove down there where you can lean against the glove or something,
just to kind of insulate yourself from your work, so you don't get a shock.
Because it does make your hair stand up.
But I'm going to get to work. See you later.
