Hi, my name is Andrés, i'm mexican, and although I don't consider myself as a polyglot I guess
I speak a few foreign languages. I've noticed there's this large community of people on
the internet who've mastered 5, 6 languages, sometimes even more and so I thought i'd make
a small video as an introduction about my self, about the languages I speak and why
I chose to speak those languages in particular. First foreign language would be English, which
I started out when I was really young by playing Nintendo, specially those RPG games, like
Zelda. From then it's just been lots of movies in English and music , i write songs for my
band as well and they're all in English and so i guess that helps a lot. Second foreign
language is French. I've been speaking french for over 10 years , I took classes long before
going to France for the first time, and ever since I was there i fell in love with the culture, the food, the music, everything. There's always been a thing about France that's drawn my attention
Moreover i shared an apartment with French people while in Spain and it was like being in France.
Only i wasn't there. I also have many good friends in france, many french-speaking frends
Third language would be german
I haven't spoken german in a long time, i was in a german school
I actually learned it well, I know a lot of
people from Germany as well, but i hardly ever talk to them. Anyhow, I try to watch
movies and listen to music in German as often as possible. Fourth language would be Polish.
Polish is the hardest language i've ever learned to this day, and probably because of this
it grew on me more the the others. I had also a completely different approach to this language
because I learned it on-site. I lived in Poland for a year, i even worked there and to this
day I keep in touch with the people over there, and i somehow fell in love with it (polish,
poland) and that's why I stayed there, I was going there for a couple of months for an
internship, and I ended up staying longer. Ok, so those are the.. oh, ok.. of course
i speak Spanish, i'm Mexican. So i'm gonna say goodbye in Spanish. I hope to hear from
you, any kind of comment or feedback is welcome, and well...i'll be uploading some other videos
regarding my various thoughts on how to learn languages or the things that have worked for
me, so till then.
