Here's how to use Personal Requests,
talk to Siri, and control your smart home accessories.
First things first: the music.
Ask Siri to play a specific song,
artist, playlist, or genre from Apple Music.
You can even ask Siri to play music based on activity or mood.
For example,
"Hey Siri, play some party music."
Siri: Sure.
Here's a personalized station of party songs.
♪ Music playing
Voiceover: You can also ask Siri to switch
to your favorite podcasts, or get the latest news update.
To use your iPhone as your HomePod remote control,
open Apple Music

From here, tap the HomePod card
to control the music with your iPhone.

Just answer on your iPhone, tap the audio button,
and select your HomePod.
Woman: Hey, we're on our way,
but with this rain and this traffic,
looks like we're going to be a little late.
Voiceover: Don't worry about it. We'll see you when you get here.
Now, to end the call, just tap the top.
Did she say something about rain?
Siri on HomePod can answer questions about weather,
traffic, and more.
Things like, "Hey Siri, is it going to rain tonight?"
Siri: We'll see some rain tonight,
but it will clear up later.
Voiceover: When your iPhone and HomePod are connected
to the same Wi-Fi,
Siri can also handle some personal requests,
like sending messages.
Hey Siri, text Caitlin, "Are you still coming over?"
Siri: Your message to Caitlin says,
"Are you still coming over?"
Ready to send it?
Voiceover: Yes.
Siri: Done!
[ALARM TONE]
Voiceover: Need to dismiss an alarm or a timer?
Just say, "Hey Siri, stop."
You can also stop these features by saying:
Hey Siri, stop the timer
Hey Siri, stop the music
Hey Siri, cancel my alarm
and if you get a new message
Siri can read it for you
Hey Siri, read my latest message.
Siri: I found your most recent message from Caitlin:
"Is it OK that I invited my cousin, my coworker,
and my soccer team?"
Would you like to reply?
Voiceover: Yes. Reply, "The more the merrier!"
Siri: Your reply to Caitlin says, "The more the merrier!"
Ready to send it?
Voiceover: Yes.
Siri: I'll send your message.
Voiceover: And Hey Siri,
remind me to make more cookies in an hour.
Siri: OK.
