- I have this picture in mind of Jeremy
The kid who walks and walks in the hall with his mobile.
- I was the director of the theatre indeed
and also drama teacher.
during this task I had a student
very young, 16, a bit...
a bit fiery, a bit unruly,
a bit confident and assertive as people say...
- So Jeremy usually at the back of the classroom
- So you were... ? - I was his music teacher.
- First year of high school, the only year we made it
we had drama lessons with 4 hours a week.
I think that thanks to Jerem who had the first role
We won the inter regional festival!
I have the memory that at the beginning he didn't want his parents to come to the show
- Why ? - I don't know...
I just remember that he refused his parents to come and see him.
- Why are you crying ?
I didn't make any joke about *** yet!
Why are you crying?
Because you're too happy !!??
Are you in a specialized school?
Audiance from Paris has this habit
when it goes to the theatre by 7:30-8 pm.
It has this mania that Audience from the Ardennes never have
Audience from Paris when it goes into a theatre...
It is sober!
- And his dream was to be on stage.
I have an anecdote in mind.
Drama classes are group lessons of course
and he was telling me :
"No no! I want to be alone on stage because
I want the applause for myself !"
- Well then man !! You're out from Charleville Theatre...
- It was fun.
But it's also a bit scary.
By reading the text I realized
that I was refering a lot to my life here.
Like for intance, the *** priest
I call him Mr Fallon
and Mr. Fallon was a real Math teacher that I had at school.
He had me kicked out of the high school
because he was a violent man who had hit a girl right next to me
and so I had a few words with him...
And I remembered this tonight performing the pedofile priest sketch.
Saying Mr Fallon, many things came to my mind
and it made loose my words
Nobody saw it, I got it back fast but
there were a few second I was not really concentrated on the sketch.
It's like later I had a flash
because it's on this stage I was first on stage but also I had my drama lessons.
So I had flashes, memories coming back
and I recognized faces in the audience so it's all a bit destabilizing.
And It's a lot of pressure because
you're like the native kid, you're coming back and you don't want to deceive people.
- Before going on stage, how did you feel ?
- I was scared.
I was scared and...
I was more scared than I felt excited
It's usually a good mix between fear and excitement.
This time fear gained the upper hand over excitement.
- Did you like the show ? - Yes.
A lot, we're coming back tomorrow so we do love it.
- You're coming back tomorrow ? - Yes we come from the "Vosges" (far away ;-)
- I saw him on "On ne demande qu'à en rire" (French TV programme) and it's even better.
Because it last more than 3 minutes.
I think he's been too kind to people from the "Ardennes" or French people.
- I felt a difference compared to an usual assembly.
There's an emotional bond with Jeremy
from the team who welcomed us. We could feel it and it was very pleasant.
