Ciao, I'm Ermanno Accornero. Today I'm here to show you
the latest vintage of Bricco Battista.
Bricco Battista is our grand cru.
They're the most important vines of our winery. We have three hectares, three partials of land,
and the grapes always come from these vineyards.
They're old vineyards and produce very little
with very calcareous
and clayey soil, which gives the grapes
a great intensity
It's a wine that expresses, I believe
It's a wine that expresses, I believe
the maximum expression of our territory for a Barbera
The harvest is done is three parts
according to the land partials and the vinification is separated
because we're very attentive to the maturation of the grape.
In the end, the wine is immediately transferred to wood to age and
undergoes malolactic fermentation in wood
The wine remains in barrels of 500 liters for one and a half years.
At the end of aging, the wine is bottled
and then undergoes another aging in the bottle for 1 to 1 1/2 years.
The color is very intense,
impenetrable, I'd say.
A very dark color.
On the nose it's very enveloping
with ripe fruits,
and red fruit
It's flavor is very full,
with an impressive length

A great Barbera that can be paired with great Piemontese cuisine
