Do you think there is any future
for Russian music?
The problem of music in Russia is
crap lyrics. You'll get this once you turn on your radio.
What's the music you may hear? Some three lousy chords...
Vocals are just horrible. The only fact that people go see shows with lip-syncing...
and actually enjoy it
what can we even talk about?
The only way there could be any future
for the Russian music is
the appearance of an artist
who would comply with the common standards
and let us know one doesn't necessarily have to lip-sync all the time
or write lousy 'I love you - you love me' lyrics
or so. Nothing personal, though.
I love Muslim Magomayev
I love oldies as those are soulful.
But the music offered to us today...
is downright disgusting
Last question: when do you think
the Russian laziness will be over?
Laziness must be the reason for everything.
It's not about laziness
There are some influential pimps who would
only care about selling something compliant to the standard
let's say there are fans of rock music
or heavy music
jazz, etc., but there is nothing remotely like this on the radio
because in case it comes up
who will lose money?
Our so-called "super stars"
As long as they are in charge of this sphere
no-one will break through.
- Well, the Internet is developing. - So what?
the Internet is just meant for
coming home to watch a video, listen to a song
it's not the only thing that helps you get famous
fame is measured by the number of live shows
if the audience just
watch you online
and that is enough for them, they are not likely to ever watch you on stage
if they don't, you'll never break through
and no-one will actually notice you
or ever know your music is posted somewhere
Internet doesn't help anyone.
we'll see. - So this one is the last question:
what do you think about the copyright rules?
I believe there shouldn't be any piracy
- Because ... - So you advocate it? - I do!
I do not download music, I buy it on iTunes
because in the end I realised how much
energy, money and time is really spent to make it.
I can understand that if
I download a single track
by one of my favourite bands
they won't lose much money
but I am not alone
there are million lads like me
It's not just about money
it's mainly about the efforts
made to come up with quality music
we should at least thank them. One track is worth just around 30 p
Some spend more on ***
so copyright should be protected
there should be no piracy in Russia
piracy steals tax money
all that money could go
to taxes to help raise pension payouts
or police salary
or anyone else's salary
So if you want your nan
to be happy
buy songs on iTunes. -YAAAAAAAWWWWW
