Hi, this is Patrick from Gettysburg Flag!
Today I wanted to talk about another question that we get a lot: What's the correct way to place
my flag in an indoor setting, like a business or a school?
In this scenario, we have three flags: the US flag, the New York State flag, and the
POW flag.
The US flag placement is the most important, as it keys everything else.
Flag code stipulates that the US flag is always on its own right, meaning that as you look
at it, it's to the left.
It's followed in order of prominence by the next flag, which would be your highest level
flag - in this case, the state flag - followed again by the POW flag.
There are a few caveats with this.
One of the big ones is: what happens when you have an international flag in the mix?
Let's take a look at that.
As you can see, we've added an international flag to the mix - in this case the flag of
France.
The US flag maintains its position of honor, followed by the international, state, and
POW flags.
If you have more than one international flag, they would be arranged beyond the US flag
alphabetically.
