Hello. In this video, we'll show you how to connect a server to ServerPilot.
First, log in to ServerPilot. On the Servers page, click Connect Server.
Now, enter your server's IP address and root password. You probably received these in an
email from your server provider, so you can copy and paste them into the appropriate fields.
Then, enter a password for the SSH/SFTP user "serverpilot"; this is the system user that
will create apps and allow you place files on your server.
Now, click Connect to ServerPilot. ServerPilot only uses your root password for
the initial installation; after that, feel free to change it and never give it to us
again. ServerPilot will check the connection and
begin installing. ServerPilot will also set up the firewall, PHP, Apache, Nginx, MySQL,
and more. Once the installation is complete, your server
will show as connected in ServerPilot, and you'll be prompted to create your first app.
Check out our upcoming videos and our documentation on installing apps, such as WordPress and
phpMyAdmin.
