I was young and naïve, and kind of foolish. Came to the Hamptons, fell in love with it,
and moved out there with having no idea what I would do. The idea of being a real estate
broker was farthest thing from my mind, and actually it was a little bit above being a
used car salesman back in the day. This was so a while ago. Low and behold after a couple
of months I realized that the $15,000 I had in my pocket wasn't really going to last very
long, and so I had to look around to do something and stumbled into a real estate office or
two, and got a position, and said hmm. Actually in the first three weeks somebody said I want
to buy this house, and it was great, and then all of a sudden I started to realize that
this was kind of fun. I met a lot of nice interesting people, it was enjoyable, and
it was actually challenging and stimulating. I was very pleased and surprised. After about
five years I can go into a party and tell people, with pride, I'm a real estate broker.
