We're here now with Byron Garcia - the person in charge of the prison that we've just been to to witness the dancing spectacular
I'd really like to thank you Mr. Byron Garcia for so sharing your experiences with us
and for warmly taking us in to meet your world - both in the prison, and out here in your office
It's a story that fits in so well with the name of our show - Neua Chan Phan Plaek (Amazing, Extraoardinary and Downright Weird)
This experience has really blown me away
So I'd like to finally say Thank you very much
Thank you
Thank you
Sawasdee Khrap
You know it really looked like they were having a blast
You know Byron actually went to Hong Kong to buy those wigs you saw
They've really made an investment in it
Can you remember that old guy smiling and dancing his heart out?
He looked like he was still pretty strong
He's 58 years old
That old and still has moves like that
These guys are prisoners - I really wanted to know whether their arms were being twisted to put on those smiles
One thing that we can really take from it all is that music is something that can unite everyone
Don't you think it's strange that in a place like that with so many backgrounds coming together
Now there are prison experts from the US and other countries traveling over there to study what Byron's done
At first they thought he was crazy
Why would you give prisoners such privelages?
In the end, those same people end up flying to Cebu to learn from what has happened
So that they can go back and do something similar in their own prisons
If you ask 'does a programme like this really work?'
Now these are just the words of Byron himself
But when you look at the footage of the prisoners just now
Regardless of how they're feeling, it's definitely a scene that you won't find in any prison that I know of
Thank you so much Jay for today's Extraordinary World story
Thank you
Selamat - Thank you in Tagalog
