What is the pedigree of Cask B? It is, again, made from very high-quality
toasted French oak. Instead of having burgundy, like Cask A, Cask B has had
Grand Cru Bordeaux wine in it. You can see there's some nice,
deep, almost mahogany-type tones to it.
There's lots of these nice plumy fruits, maybe a hint of cedar wood, or
something like that, in there, some nice zestiness, a bit of sherbet and
citrus fruit. It's got that almost praline or hazelnut baked inside some
type of cake. Then you get all these things like breakfast marmalades in
there. If you like your flavors very floral, very perfumed, I'd say this is
a very colorful whiskey, then maybe Cask B is the one for you.
