After more than a month of flooding, there's still no let up. The owner of the now famous
island house in Somerset is still battling to stem the flow of flood water with his clay
and soil wall, but it has found a way in and it's rising at a rate of six inches a day.
Elsewhere in Somerset, homeowners use sandbags and pumps to keep the water at bay. In Berkshire
the army have been called in to help as looters prey on the vulnerable and helpless people
forced to evacuate their homes. These aerial pictures show submerged homes and submerged
cars, as waders and wellies become everyday wear in flood-hit areas. Even the emergency
services' ability to help has been slowed. In Staines, there is further devastation.
A normally land-locked area covered in water as David Cameron promises millions of pounds
in aid to farmers, home and business owners. The Met office have issued further warnings
for Thursday and Friday. They say more extreme weather is on its way.
