"Sørensens Fat C64 Review Today's game: Super Bread Box"
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Guess what?
It's out again! My beauty: Commodore 64!
Yes box! But why, you might ask?
Well, because they're making new games for it!
2013 is this one from!
For a computer I bought back in the 80's! That's amazing.
So, I just gotta try this.
Well, let's check out the goodies.
Stickers. Manual. More stickers.
A sheet of paper to write codes on.
..and the game, which comes on a cartridge.
...so you don't have to wait 5 minutes like on a tape or disk drive. Let's try it!
Ok, remember to always turn off the old machine, before you insert a cartridge.
Like this. Like that.
It loads instantly - that's sweet.
I've found my old Tac-2. It hasn't been oiled up in a while but let's hope that I can make it anyway.
Name.... Sorensen.
I've played this a little already. In the beginning you can only play the first level of the six available.
You're supposed to collect these crates. That is, if you're able to.
I have some problems doing this. This is not going well.
They contain weapons, so you get a new weapon each time you collect a crate.
That was a ghost, and the others are monsters.
You might have seen that if they get to the bottom, they will become more dangerous.
It's bit similar to Mario Bros, if anyone remembers that.
I unlocked a new level.. and a new weapon.
I also have the revolver now.
I'm not so good at this...
Ok, I've come a bit further.
This level is quite fun.
If only my #$@% joystick would 'jump'.
Oops! Well, *** happens.
Ok, new joystick!
Hopefully this one will work better.
It's so hard, that I can't talk and concentrate on the game simultaneously.
I really want to see the last level.
So I have to collect 10 crates.
That is not so easy.
So I'm struggling a bit with that.
There's still some way to go...
That's a hopeless weapon.
Ah, nice. The mines and the rocket launcher are probably my favourites.
But the grenades are also handy things to have.
I have a feeling that you're supposed to throw mines everywhere.
Even more mines. Thanks for that.
For #$@% sake!
Last level!
Flamethrower is also nice to have now and again.
Whoopsie!
Well, this is a review. So what should I say about it?
I haven't smashed a joystick on a C64-game in a good while. Most recent must have been with 'Sex Games'.
It's a fun game, but also a quite hard one. I also think it looks nice.
It gets 4 cinnamon buns out of 5 croissants.
Thanks for watching! Later.
