So you're trying to decide what you want to have as your meal for your wedding reception.
There are many things to consider when choosing your menu for the special occasion. Hi, I'm
Jessica Meiczinger, and I'm going to give you some helpful tips on how to choose your
menu and what to choose for your menu for your wedding reception. First of all, I'd
start off with what time of the day you're having your wedding reception, also the location,
and the time frame of the reception itself. If you're having a reception your wedding
during the day, you know you might have a luncheon reception or a brunch. So you want
to choose your reception to reflect that. If you're doing a brunch, go ahead and do
you know could do a plated brunch. If you want it a little more casual and informal,
go ahead and do your buffet. You can feature mimosas, nice punches and lemonade and ice
tea. You could do a Bloody Mary bar. That's another fun interactive station. If you're
doing an evening reception, go ahead and you know depending on how formal or informal you
want it, you can do a buffet. You can do just stations. You can just do heavy appetizers.
You can do a plated dinner. If your selected location that has you know great local fare
or known for a particular dish, go ahead and feature that as well. Or if you're having
a particular theme to your wedding, for instance an Asian theme wedding. Design your menu to
reflect that. You can do action stations like noodle lounges and chicken satays with like
peanut sauce. Gear your menu towards that. Most of all you know if you're still having
a hard time, consult with a catering manager at your reception location. Or if you've hired
a wedding coordinator, you know consult her as well, and they can offer up suggestions
when choosing a menu. They're around this all the time, and they know what people like
to eat and what they don't like to eat. And also you know when choosing your menu take
into consideration what you and the groom like as well as you know your guests. Keep
in mind vegetarians, you know special dietary needs and so forth. So those are just some
you know helpful ideas on how to choose and what to choose for your reception wedding
reception dinner menu. Again I'm Jessica Meiczinger and happy planning.
