Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make
these peppermenty candy cane cookies. Now that we have our ropes of our two different
colors of dough all ready to go, it's time to start combining them into our candy cane
shape. Now the first step we're going to do is to take one each of the red and then a
uncolored one and we're going to gently twist them together. You don't want to twist it
too many times because you want it to not break which is a concern. And then put it
off to the side and we're going to do this with a bunch of them. You can see that I have
the cookie sheet all ready, you want to either have a foil lined or plain cookie sheet. I
like foil line because it makes it easier when cleaning up, it also makes it easier
if you're doing a bunch of cookies at once to switch between them. So we're just going
to gently lay those together and you want to be very careful when you're handling the
dough because although it is a pretty resilient one, you still risk breaking it because your
hands were in it so much. You also want to make sure that your hands are lightly floured.
Just because the warmth of your hands is going to cause things to stick together a bit.
