This is the Meribel Snow Report coming from you live from the Morel Chair.
As you can see it's chucking it down right now. Changing to my low-light goggles. I think
we've had, it must have started snowing quite late in the night, as we, it's snowing real
heavy now but we only got about 5cm of snow down.
The forecast was for snow showers but it looks like it's gonig to be pretty set in.
Temperatures are pretty mild down here I think we are at about, what are we about 1600 meters
at the moment I think and it feels pretty mild.
I'm not sure what the wind is going to be like up the top. it was forecast to be pretty
high winds but we'll see, so that's it for now.
So this is the little continuation of the snow report we started on the lift lower down.
We've just got off the top of the Dent de Burgin lift and as you can see it is a little
bit clearer up here, it's not snowing quite so heavy. We went through a few layers of
cloud and clear on the way up actually. And you can see the snow depth isn't as much here.
We've got, probably still about 5cm but the snow condition's good.
It's light powders on top of some pretty hard packed piste at the moment but as the day
goes on that'll, the hard pack will soft up underneath. It'll probably get lumped up quite
quickly i would think if it warms up, continues to warm up. So we are going to have a ride
and see what it's like.
