DAVID A. CLEMEN: Okay. Now, we've sewn the two pieces together. We're going to press
them apart and then we're going to press the fabric to the side that we want to topstitch
and the topstitch will actually hold that raw edge on the side that we pressed it to.
So, we just drop the needle there and I'm going to start right here. I'm going to do
a small back stitch and then I'm just gonna--it chewed up my fabric a little so hold on. Okay.
Once we get it there--and we move forward a little bit and I'm going to topstitch about
an eighth of an inch from the actual seam and just run it all the way down. Okay. And
then periodically, you want to check to make sure that the seam hasn't flipped back over
this way,
and you'll be able to feel it under your right hand or whichever hand you're sewing towards.
See, it flipped again on me. You can't see it but it's flipped over this way, so you
just have to periodically check it.
Once again.
One way to tell is you'll be able to feel a roll on this part of the fabric that it's
the--underneath is rolling that way. All right. When you get to the end, just do a small back
stitch and runoff, raise your needle and then just clip the threads and now you have this
part of it topstitched.
