A career with Immigration can take you to many places.
You have lots of opportunity to develop and lots of opportunity to work anywhere in
Australia and anywhere overseas.
I joined the department as a graduate four months ago, and it has been exciting, ever
changing, and unlike anything else I've experienced.
I think that working for immigration you get a great range of work
and you have the ability to meet great people, and to see
probably the most multicultural agency in Australia.
When I walked in to Immigration, I found it to be the most diverse agency I've ever
stepped in to.
You have a mixing pot of all races, ethnicities, religions, and most importantly you have
a large number of co-workers that are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Earlier this year, I became a reconciliation ambassador in Brisbane.
I feel proud to be a reconciliation ambassador.
I get to work for our people, with our people, on events that matter to us.
I guess my dream would be to help clients.
I'd love to be a case manager one day.
And I'd love to give people positive information on their journey in to being a citizen.
I feel excited, I feel happy, and I feel like my opportunities here are endless.
