Nice things happen to nice guys. Guest of honour Hugh Jackman arrives for the Zurich
Film Festival. Wolverine cutting through the crowds with a smile and a winning way that
brings to mind Tom Cruise. Although Hugh's a much bigger star...at least height-wise.
Here to pick up the Golden Icon award for his contribution to film and stage. Pleased
as punch with his Swiss prize:
"I feel very blessed. I'm very appreciative of all the things that have come my way and
tonight it's hard to describe but it's a very humbling experience to get an award like this."
Always a pro...even when failed by technology.
"Hello!"
And taking the time to learn a little of the language:
"(German) Good evening, Zurich! I'm very proud to receive this award and to present to you
my new film 'Prisoners' (English) That's it. That's all I can speak."
Of course he's got something to sell.
Presenting his new thriller Prisoners, which has managed to please critics and top the
box office at the same time.
"I think as an actor and director you constantly want to feel that you're moving forward, that
you're trying different things, that you're challenging yourself, that you are connecting
with what's in front of you and not trying to live in the glory days or sense of history.
So it's rare thing to look back so for a second tonight I'll allow myself to stand there and
look back and realise how lucky I am with the people that I've worked with."
Hugh about to take four months off to spend time with his family, but obviously still
getting a buzz from his work.
