We play in the MACHA conference, which is a part of the ACHA. It's Division 2 club.
We compete against all sorts of teams. Everyone shows up, everyone does it because the love
hockey. It means something to us, we all tap our logo every time we walk out of the locker
room. We still take pride in being Hawkeyes. I mean we want to win for our school just
as much as anyone else does. As far as this school goes there is a ton of kids that played
hockey from Chicago that go here. That's what I grew up doing my whole life, it's probably
the thing I love the most. It's really just the love for the game. The bond you get from
being together with a group of guys like this for four days out of the week. Every season
we have new teammates, but they are my best friends at school. It is a lot, especially
on the weekend, there is so much time to catch up on work, school work, homework, and studying
over the weekend, but we're sometimes consumed for the entire three days. So you know I mean
you just have to really buckle down during the week when you can. Everywhere we go we
want to represent the University with pride, and even though we're just club, we hope this
program can keep moving forward.
