This is Fred Lippman from Dateline Health. Here's a Health Tip from Nova Southeastern
University. I'm Dr. Michael Bacigalupi from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.
Today I want to talk to you about your children's vision. Did you know that over 80% of what
you learn over the course of a lifetime comes from visual input? So it's critical that children
have their eyes examined at an early age and have good vision from the start. When a child
comes in for an eye examination, we're going to check lots of things including: visual
acuity, their focusing skills, how their eyes track when they read, we're going to check
their color vision, and of course their eye health. Make sure you have your child's vision
checked annually so they can reach their academic potential.
