Hey, Phil here from CraveReal.com.
Today we're talking go juice, java, joe or simply coffee....
[ intro ]
Somebody at some point said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and
they were right. Today we're going to dive into one part of my power breakfast -- Power
Coffee.
I start each day with this because it sets my body up to function properly the entire
day. Some people argue that you need to actually eat something, but the purpose of food is
to give your body the fuel it needs to function, and that's what my Power Breakfast does.
OK, now I'm going to show
you how you can make this coffee in less than 7 minutes.
[ go over the process ]
→ Start water (16oz.) → While that's boiling, add the coffee to
the french press → Add the 2TB of butter and 1 TB coconut
oil to the blender
You can stop there and have what Dave Asprey calls Bullet Proof coffee, or you can kick it up and add two more ingredients...
→ vanilla → cinnamon
By this time the water should be boiling. Pour the water into the french press and stir
for about 30 seconds.
Brew for 4 minutes.
If you would rather use a
coffee maker, that's fine. I find that the flavor isn't as good, but it will save you
a few minutes.
OK, let's take a look at why this
coffee is so good for you while we wait for it to brew.
[ Go over the ingredients on Page 1 while the coffee is brewing]
When it's done brewing, pour the coffee into the blender and blend for 15 seconds. I like
to pour the hot coffee over the butter to help melt it so it blends easier.
And, that's it.
A word of caution. Coffee can be a bit harsh on
the stomach, and
it can disrupt
your sleep cycle, so watch your intake. I used to drink about 30 oz. per day, but
now I only have 16 oz. You really don't need more than that, especially when you combine
it with the other half of my power breakfast -- egg nog.
