Hello. Hello. Hello. It's Nichole Kellerman here and we re on to another episode of Health
Nugs. So today, we're on to part 2 of our 4-part series of the truth about sickness
and weight loss. Today specifically, we're going to talk about exercise and sickness
because I get this question all the time from my clients is, "Should I exercise when I'm
sick?" Well number 1. Listen to your body. I cannot say that enough. Your body, she is
so smart and she talks to you. You just have to be opened to listening. So if you go to
the gym or go outside and you just start tracking away and start exercising and literally your
body is just saying, STOP! NO! Then you probably should stop to saying No. Don't try to power through
because you know what, if you're powering through, you're like m going to push through
it. You'll probably feel better for about 20 minutes but then after that 20 minutes,
you're going to feel even worse then you were before you started to exercise. The real easy
guidelines to go up of is where you're feeling sick in your body. If you're just feeling
sick from the head up, you can probably do something more low intensity like yoga, pilates,
light walk or something like that just to keep your blood moving, get some fresh blood
in there, so you can start fighting off whenever a virus that you have. But if you feel it
in your body, your achy, your tired and you are fatigue. If you feel any those things
is probably a good idea that you not exercise and you really just increase your fluids,
make sure you check the part one of this series and I go into nutrition side of it. But listening
to your body is key. I can't sit here and tell you and give these straight dialogues
because we all are different. All of our bodies are different, that's why certain diets are
for some people and that same diet doesn't work for your neighbour. We all are different.
And this is about you're tuning in and listening your body and what you want. So instead of
going online and searching around that if you should exercise or not just stop. Turn
off your mind for a minute and ask your body and you're really on. It's like, "Would it be
good for me?" or, "Would it hinder for getting healthier?" So that's really it in a nutshell.
Just really really easy. The hardest part, is just to turn off your mind.
