Hi everybody, it is 25 December 2013. We are broadcasting live from Cardiff Today. This is Engin from BBC Wales.
Derya is with me Today, she is visiting us from Ankara.
Hi Derya, welcome to Cardiff.
Thanks!
I assume you are here for the first time?
Yes.
You did a really poor timing to visit here indeed.
Political atmosphere in Ankara is tense at the moment.
Plenty of things are going on...
If my camera operator show you the street behind...
Cardiff is absolutely empty.
If camera operator turns back to me, we can continue to our interview.
THE REASON WHY CARDIFF IS THAT QUIET IS:
not because Royal Christmas Message is on TV,
but a news about Erdogan Government's resignation
Per latest info we have from the Cabinet, Erdogan has sent the letter of resignation to the President.
So that everybody in Cardiff is at home, watching their TV to learn what's going on.
Derya - do you have any comment on this?
You recently arrived from Ankara.
Were you expecting such interest on Turkish Politics from Cardiff folks?
What do you think about this political atmosphere?
I wish to everyone a happy new year.
Hope it will be a better year for our country too.
May God be with us at the next year!
