The tension continues in the South.
A Qassam rocket landed in the proximity of the Regional Council in Ashkelon beach.
There were no injuries and no damage done.
Tonight, we will be premiering for the first time the video of the last Iron Dome experiment conducted.
An experiment that ended in success and allowed the deployment of the system by Be'er Sheva.
Nir Dvori, our reporter for military affairs, with the pictures.
The three white dots on the screen are Qassam and Grad rockets fired as part of the experiment.
Iron Dome interceptors are launched towards the approaching barrage of rockets
and destroy the rockets one after another.
This is the first video of the last experiment
conducted a few weeks ago and ended in success.
Here, the system was already operated by the air force.
This is what allowed the deployment of Iron Dome next to Be'er Sheva this week.
"This is not a definite solution," defense personnel say,
"but it provides good answer."
One battery can protect a city the size of Be'er Sheva or Ashkelon.
The Defense Minister will work to bring for the approval of 4 additional
batteries by the government this coming Sunday.
It will cost $250,000,000. The funds, the Americans have already promised.
The 4 batteries will be operational within 2 years.
In the future, the Air Force will be equipped with 10 more batteries.
This will allow decent protection of both the south and north.
In the experiments, Iron Dome did not disappoint.
Now, there's just one test left: the real test, in the field.
