when searching the web have you ever found an article from a journal you know the U of
M library subscribes to
only to find that because you're off campus you not able to view the full text?
The libraries proxy server bookmarklet allows you to quickly and easily bypass this problem
by enabling you to reload webpages through the library's proxy server.
To use the proxy bookmarklet, first you'll need to install it.
Find the proxy bookmarklet page on the library website.
Then follow the installation instructions for your browser.
In Firefox, right click on the link and choose is bookmark this link.
Then add the link to your bookmarks toolbar.
Now when you are prompted to enter subscription information for articles from journals you know
the library subscribes to
simply click on the bookmark you just created to enter your login information.
Once you do you'll be able to view the full-text
The primary way access library resources from off campus is to navigate to them through
the library website:
lib.umich.edu
But on your own computer
consider installing the library proxy server bookmarklet.
