Hi everybody. Scott Bintz here with RealTruck.com, and today we are going
to install a BedRug bed liner on this new 2010 Ford Super Duty. So we're
going to do this kind of on the fly. Matt is recording.
I think the tools that we're going to need to do this, we haven't read the
instructions yet, but it comes in this box. Here is a sample. I had asked
the factory for a sample for my truck to do a YouTube video, and they sent
this. No, actually kidding. This is their sample of their regular original
BedRug bed liner. You can see the thickness, and it's a little mini sample.
But I think what we're going to need is a good cup of coffee. It's going to
be one of our tools and a box cutter. The only reason we need the box
cutter is to open the box. And so, here we go.
The BedTred is BedRug's newest bed liner, and we're going to put it in a
2010 Ford Super Duty. Unbox the BedRug, and the installation says that we
need safety glasses. So hopefully these will work. Gloves, which I don't
have any right now, so we're going to skip that. We may need a utility
knife to cut some slits for the built-in tie downs.
One other thing that we're going to do, because this truck has a tailgate
step, we're going to do something a little different for the tailgate mat
that comes with the bed liner, because I would like to keep my tailgate
area as it is.
Now, it comes in the box in two pieces. Essentially, we have the floor
piece and the sides, and the wall of the BedRug, which this zips together.
So we're going to go ahead and save some time and zip this together. One
thing to know, too, is we need to clean the bed, which we've already done,
so the Velcro fasteners that we're going to put on the bed are ready to go.
So be back in a second with this thing zipped together.
We're zipping it together, the sides and the floor piece, and as you can
see it zips very easy. We're going to go ahead and finish this up, and
we'll be right back.
All right. What we've done here now is attach the BedRug. As I said, we put
the Velcro pieces [inaudible 2:36]. Now we're in the last corner. So
essentially, peel off these backings and we put the BedRug in place here.
It doesn't take very long. We'll start here at the bottom. And this last
aspect here, put them in there. And then we will have installed our new
BedRug into the back of this truck.
I suppose it took us approximately, I don't know, ten minutes or so. Maybe
fifteen. And like I said, on the tailgate, we did decide to tuck the
tailgate in, and we just Velcro'd it down so we can still use our factory
tailgate protector in this particular application.
