It seems that Kosovo stamp has heartburning effect
for the border officials if you can notice anything from the behaving
Instead of previous "pop a wheelie" and "give some gas" comments
they just checked our passports with a magnifying glass
with their superiors and I guess the cars waiting behind us
did not enjoy waiting extra 10min in a heat
Also the driving coulture seemd to change radically on this side of border
or how does it sound if someone bypasses 160km/h into a blind curve
stressfull beginning luckily views stayed
great and absolutely the best hamburger lunch
moved our feelings up and towards north
I just have to wonder what is it with Serbian drivers
They does not seem to be bothered by candles and crosses on the road sides
but they just have to drive like nuts so they can bypass
just before they need to do a lock slowing
so they barely can turn on a next intersection
well... we all have our hobbies
It started to become dark but luckily a small thunderstorm
electricied the athmosphere and helped to keep going even if fur a bit wet
all the way to Novisad, a legenrady party and student city
We are now in Novi Sad in Serbia and there should be great parties somewhere here
as you can hear from behind coming towards, goind on sides
should be great parties
Behind us there is a small alley where are a lot of small bars
clubs pubs and a like but these are just preparties
as there are a lot of other parties as well where parties start
only after few hours
It is about 2am so in Finland
these would be the end turns but here
we are just beginning the evening so lets go to see what we can see over there
Lets get along
After a really weird taxi drive we ended up to an old fortress
into a bastion where the best parties were rumoured to be
the best parties, great club etc.
So this is the place where locals party the last hours
So just lets get along
I can only say that holy f*ck
We are now behind the doors and our resting place is
in that way but our only friend is
this dog over here and there should be 24h guard
but of course no guard anywhere
We tried to knock in all possible places
But cant see anybody
None said that we should get into
We are now finally in our sleep over place
It managed to happen that our 24h guard was sleeping
but finally got him waken up so that we got in here
not sure how well he guarded our bikes while sleeping though
but quite friendly he was even as we woke him up
in the middle of beauty snaps
We had an interesting night first visiting with guidance by Lonely Planet
in a place that none of the taxi drivers recogniced
They had to call in differet places that we were in a first place able to go anywhere
to drink some alcohol then we got extra information where to go
for middle hours and then further from there
to the Bastion where we partied and drunk with locals
I guess we were the only foreigners there
Now sleeping here trying to get rid of drunkness
And to go to drive tomorrow as well but we will see at what time we are allowed to
I hope before we are kicked out of here
The day started to get back on trails as soon as we got our promilles
low enough Snella said "soo soo" to us though
as we teased local polices
Shortly after Novi Sad we drove into a speed check
But thanks to old equipments they just had to
shake their heads and look afterwords
After answering to a million "do you have ***" and "do you have marihuana" questions on the border
We finally managed to get our way back to Shengen area and Hungary
No more border *** chat More gas, said constable Hegström
and towards Lake Balaton
Crossing over the Balaton lake was quite awakening
Morning coffee was about to go to a wrong throat as we were all the stuff
wide open waiting the ferry when they suddenly whistled to go
Well, at least we got some move in ourselves
In Hungary mountais have gone behind but at least there are
a lot of nice hill tops
Nice flying start for the adverntures to come
The difference was quite clear when comparing few previous countries
and could be seen in cars and traffic coulture
Cruising was enjoyable and relaxed No problems driving on country side
and watching cows
Every now and then we of course got some blames by Snella
when turned into a small road
which after few tens of kilometres turned out to be a dead end
Luckily Snella is not agry for long
especially if you scratch him a bit behind the ear
Small villages along the road seemed pictoresque
and it was fun to chill out every now and then in a small cafeteria eating ice cream
Especially Snella seemed to like fully creamed options
Surprise Surprise
Euro seemed to be hard currency again
even if not official one
Sometimes we dived into amazing groves and crossed streams and small rivers
along bridges As in so many
cases the biggest problem was that you always have too little time
to be there
In Slovakia we met more and more friends
Bikes I mean
We might even got lost into a bikers favourite area
so many two wheelers we saw there
But it was quite safe to drive a bit faster even
as the ambulance would not have been far
Views were a bit like Hungary
at least the parts we drove
Although this time Slovakia was just a bypass country
while burning asphalt on our way to Czech Reb.
