Hi. I'm Nili Nathan. So you want to have a healthy holistic holiday season. Well, good
luck, right? With all the chocolates and the treats. You're going to be bombarded from
your family parties to your office parties. Well, here's a good tip for you. Try raw foods.
Raw foods are very trendy right now. And for good reason. They're healthy. They're filled
and packed with vitamins and minerals that you just cannot get from processed food. So
let me tell you about how you can make this delicious Christmas smoothie. Now, if you're
worried about protein. What are you, nuts? Brazil nuts. Raw food has lots of protein
my dear friends. These are raw Brazil nuts which are delicious and loaded with protein.
So you want to get some and you're going to use about a handful. Okay, so next you'll
want to get some fresh ripe strawberries because this is a Christmas smoothie. We want it to
be nice and red. For your Hanukkah smoothie fresh blueberries. And always buy organic,
okay? Don't be afraid. Get organic. And next I use gogi berries. These are from Tibet and
they've been used for hundreds of years by monks in Tibet. They give you a lot of vitality.
They have anti oxidant properties in them. They're also anti-aging and their filled with
vitamins and minerals. So let me show you what these look like. They're a little bit
hard for smoothies. So what I've done is I've soaked them in water for about a half hour
or an hour, until the get nice and plump. Can you see that? And they're delicious. Next,
to sweeten, alright, we use agave nectar. Now agave nectar is fantastic. If you know
about the glycemic index this is very low on the glycemic index and it's better than
maple syrup because one teaspoon of this, guys, only has 16 grams of carbohydrate. Which
means that the sugar is released slowly into your system. And that's what you want. And
that's what refined sugars do not do for you. So this is actually good for diabetics. Hypoglycemic.
Check with your doctor first and give it a try. Alright? That's agave nectar which by
the way, this comes from a cactus. So it's a natural. Then you'll need to use some coconut
water. Now, you really should be using a big Hawaiian coconut but I'm not a big Hawaiian
so I can't break the coconut. I'm going to use some coconut water that I got at the health
food store. It's 100% coconut water. Now as an option, if you want to give your smoothie
a little zing you can use some fresh peppermint leaves. These are wonderful. They have a beautiful
aroma. Very Christmasy with the peppermint. But I'll leave that up to you. Alright. So
that's what you need to get started. And next I'll talk to you a little bit about this super
charged blender.
