from Revit 2013, you can manually apply pattern on surface.
this is a pattern i made.
front facade has iregular curve and the other side is flat.
this pattern can't be made with automatic pattern.
let's see how it this make possible.
there're two surfaces. flat one and curved one.
i think i dont have to explain how to make these surfaces..
to make these faces have aligned same grid,
apply grids with refernce planes that already made.
in this case, distance between reference grids are all the same.
but you don't have to all the same at yours. this is just an example.
now, i have two divided surfaces.
to make work easy, hide reference planes.
this is a panel i made.
i'll remake this for explanatioin.
delete everything...
this template is not curtain wall pattern, but adaptive model template.
i need 12 adaptive points.
to predict the shape at surface, make points at different levels.
and make all points Adaptive.
to memorize easily, chage order of points.
make one solid form....
and make one void.. TADA....
now a pattern is ready.
and load this to the conceptual mass family just made.
to apply pattern manually, check 'Nodes' of suface.
this makes attatching ataptive model to grids possible.
then, attatch adaptive model in order of adoptive points.
one panel attatched..
when select the panel, 'pattern arry' icon goes active.
just click this........ TADA....
it's just like what you saw at the first scene.
now, you can make other featuer with same adaptive model.
with just change the order of attatching.
TADA...
and, you can array this also.
one more?
make bigger this time..
hmm... not interesting..
again..
TADA....
Thanks for watching..
Bye~~:-)
