Travel Better through Gatwick
Airports can be great fun, the start of your holiday ...But Gatwick has more than 42 million
people passing through it every year, all rushing to get somewhere, so it can be a little
bit stressful. So here’s five tips on how to Travel Better
through Gatwick:
Number 1 Stay the night before. You can avoid the early start, morning rush to get out of
your house - and the M23 traffic! - by staying in a hotel on the airport grounds. There are
plenty of hotels just a short drive away, but there are also several within walking
distance of the airport.
Number 2 Airport Lounges. A lounge can provide the perfect pre-holiday feeling, and can cost
as little as £19. Pour your own beer, plug in your phone, enjoy free wifi, drinks and
snacks in relaxed settings away from the hustle and bustle of the terminal.
Number 3 Free Monorail. Gatwick has a free monorail between the terminals, and it takes
just two minuets to get from North to South, or vice-versa!
Number 4 Kids Zones. If you’re travelling with small children, Kids Zones are available
at both terminals... they have TVs, a soft-play area and a place for you to sit and have a
drink while your little ones play.
Number 5 Charging Points. There are free charging points at both Gatwick terminals (on the lower
level by the large Boots in the North Terminal; and on the upper level in the South).
