This tutorial will show you how to log in and complete a registration override to add
a student to a course after the 7th day of the term. You will need the student's name,
their Tech ID and the six-digit Course ID number of the class for which you are entering
a registration override. Begin at MnSCU's Academic Records, Registration and Curriculum
Management administration website at https://admin.mnscu.edu/arsa/login.html. You must sign in with your StarID. If you
need to create a StarID, please go to https://starid.mnscu.edu and create your StarID and password. Type
in your StarID in the StarID field. Type in your password in the Password field.
You will need to indicate your MnSCU institution. Select Metropolitan State from the dropdown
menu. Select Display Name if you wish your name
to appear on the screens. Click on the Login button. The system will
take you to the Academic Records, Registration and Curriculum Management homepage.
Click on ARSA to show the dropdown menu. On the ARSA menu, select Student. The system
will bring you to a blank Student Information screen.
On the Student Information screen, enter the code for the Year and Term for which you need
to register a student. In this example, the code is shown for the fall semester of 2013,
and it is 20143. Other semester codes are: for spring 2014, 20145; for summer 2014, 20151;
for fall 2014, 20153. In the Student ID field, enter the student's
Tech ID. Click on the Display Student Information button.
You will see the student's Name and address. Verify the student's name. Select the Override
Edits tab. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
Select Add. A new blank line will display at the bottom with a box checked and two blank
fields. The first field is in the Edit Code column and the second field is in the Course
ID column. In the first field, enter the Edit Code required
to add a student after the 7th day of the term, 000003.
In the second field, enter the Course ID. Make sure the box to the left of the two fields
remains checked, and click on the Submit Overrides button.
Click on the Display student information button again.
You should see the course you just added at the top of the list. Verify that the Course
ID is correct. You have now seen a demonstration of performing a Registration Override for
Adding a Class after the 7th Day of the Term.
