Hi, I'm Patti German. And I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist here in New York City.
In this clip we're going to talk about why marriages fail. Marriages basically fail because
people stop communicating with each other. They start to live separate lives. And, and
they; the fighting becomes very very. It goes one out of two ways, wither there's fighting
all the time or there's no talking to each other. So marriages fail because people are
not communicating. One of the basic human needs is to be in a reciprocal relationship.
When you're, when you're not feeling heard and understood and safe, you, you turn to
other, other things to find satisfaction. So underneath, marriages failing I think is
all about communication. And learning how to communicate is a skill. It's something
that can b learned as long as the desire is there to stay with your partner. It's important
to learn how to communicate. This is Patti German in New York City.
