Here’s Pennsylvania's WYOU with more on the revealing research.
“A new study in the journal ‘Plus One’ finds that pupil dilation is an accurate indicator
of *** orientation.”
The study, conducted by Cornell University researchers, measured changes in pupil dilation
while test subjects watched *** videos to determine which gender they found attractive.
The Daily Mail reports what you may have already deduced...
“Straight men reacted to *** images of women, gay men responded to *** images
of men and bisexuals respond to both men and women.
But there was an interesting conclusion when it came to the so-called gentler sex. Heterosexual
women's pupils dialated when they watch videos of men and women. KTLA reports the research
may be a breakthrough in the field of sexuality.
“Experts say this information can be useful, it can be used to assess overarching trends
in sexuality in the future.”
Previously, scientists measuring *** arousal used a...more delicate technique – genital
arousal – but that procedure was often seen as “ethically problematic.” ABC News reports
now that the research team has a...
“...tool that is not so invasive, they can recruit younger subjects and learn more about
human sexuality.”
Researchers also say their findings could be used in the future to help people who are
confused about their sexuality cope with their feelings.
