TIRANOS TEMBLAD: THE WEEKLY REVIEW OF URUGUAYAN EVENTS
2012 has come to a close and New Year's
has brought us a bunch of videos
with people celebrating in the Port of Montevideo.
Which is one of our country's traditions.
Like this other one:
"It's the tradition in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay..."
"Celebrate New Year's with water"
"To take a taxi and stay dry is a real challenge"
"And with the temperatures at an all time high, some gladly take the bath"
The festive spirits during this time also bestows upon
us an enormous amount of videos of
Uruguayans dancing.
And we have dancers of every age...
Even this little boy in the red briefs.
If you're not moved by him, you have no heart.
From Rivera, Matias and Milton prepared this choreography:
This party, which had 7 parts uploaded
was indeed a test for us sober people to just
watch some drunk people gettin down.
But it is pretty fun.
Apart from dancing, people were singing
quite a bit during these festivities.
For example, these North American ladies
who are in our country
because obviously they realized that:
"Uruguay is the best countryyyyyyyy"
"Better than Fraaaance and better than Pariiiis!"
They decided to send salutations to their family
with a song:
Also in amongst our singing material,
two friends, who have named themselves
the best singers of Uruguay
left us a beautiful song:
Some people held an homage for Michael Jackson
And Jonas delighted us with his childhood hit:
"I'm your loyal friend"
I've already told everyone how Uruguay
can be fanatic about strange things...
This week I found these people
that among other things, they make
geometric shapes with their cell phones,
and write things in a language that is
clearly extra terrestrial.
We also have Carlita and Lu
Two friends who analyze important themes
for our nation's youth.
"And the theme for today is:"
"***"
"There are a lot of categories, ok"
"There's one category, and there's a lot of them"
" at least here in Uruguay."
"It's the category in which, you have to be a ***"
"Because you have no other option"
"because your mom just pushed you out it such a bad way... "
The interesting thing is that they not only
develop their concepts theoretically,
but they illustrate them with little skits.
"Oh well, I was with a bunch of boyz"
"I love because I went out to dance"
"And sucked like 25 boyzzzz"
"25 boyz got my dome"
"And I don't know why they like me because"
"I take really natural pictures of myself"
"Like this"
"And this"
"And also that, you know"
And of course at the end they put in the
bloopers which no one wants to miss
This video really confused me
That's why I'm inaugurating the enigmatic video of the week:
"I want to join the cause"
"So that they bring"
"Youtube to Uruguay"
Already from the title: Bring YouTube to Uruguay
seemed confusing to me.
because I don't understand
what is it he wants YouTube to bring.
How do you bring YouTube to Uruguay?
If someone understands, seriously, explain it to me.
"Everyone make a video"
"So that they bring YouTube to Uruguay"
This girl traveled all over South America
Including our country
And she made a really fun video
for the most part it's of her own face
And that's why she won the title:
the CRACK OF THE WEEK
And to finish up we'll leave you with the
POINTLESS VIDEO OF THE WEEK
which we award to this user who uploaded
in real time of a playstation match between
Uruguay and Belgium
In which we win 1-0, Victorino kicking the winning goal.
This has been all... Until next week!
