Hi! I'm Lori Schneider from Figs Catering out of Austin, Texas. Today on behalf of Expert
Village, we're going to show you how to make mini turkey and parmesan burgers on pita bread.
Now that we have all of out ingredients ready to go, we're going to start assembling our
pita sandwiches. I'm going to start off with one of my warmed half pieces of pita. I'm
going to put my Dijonaise, just a little bit, into the pocket like so. We're just going
to make sure we get it nice and covered. Perfect. You have some Dijonaise on either side of
your pita. Now I'm going to take one of my mini turkey and parmesan burgers. I'm going
to set it in the sandwich here. Now we're going to carefully add in all the toppings.
I'm going to add in my onions, and yes, this is going get very full, but that's part of
the fun. I'm going to take my spoon and scoop out a little bit of the avocado, just a few
pieces, like maybe two here, and add that on top. Then I'm going to add my tomato. Actually,
I'm just going to slide that under my turkey burger so it kind of holds all together. Yes,
it is getting very full. Why don't we take a few pieces of lettuce and slide that under
our tomato so that it kind of holds together. Awesome. Now we've got a very full mini turkey
and parmesan burger. Today we're using pita bread because it is a low calorie option.
However, if you don't want to use pita bread or you want to make them more into the feel
of sliders, then go ahead and buy the little dinner rolls. You usually can find them in
the grocery store's bakery section. You can buy the little dinner rolls and slice them
in half, pop in the oven for just a minute to warm up, and then go ahead and fill them
up so you have nice little sliders.
