CAROL: We've been studying public response to large-scale tornadoes
(continued) and to try and look at the kinds of things people say before, during, and after these storms.
HANK: The result of this, is, in fact, pertinent to saving lives. That's incredibly motivating.
CAROL: And it can only be done in Oklahoma,
because we have some of the best measurement capabilities for climate anywhere in the world.
HANK: But the teaching part of it, the ability to work with students,

(continued) the undergraduate students that we've had here.
I really think that we're at the forefront of some of the most exciting and interesting ways
(continued) of trying to encourage our students to learn in these experimental classrooms.
HANK: If we do this right, we will be training students who have come through here
(continued) and who can do extraordinary work on their own,
(continued) that exceeds what we can do, and we love that part of this process.
CAROL: And I think that when that kind of enthusiasm exists in an institution,
(continued) it translates to the students.
HANK: And even when we're tired, we can keep going,
(continued) because we know that what we're doing can, in fact, have that kind of an impact.
CAROL: That's what creates this environment of discovery,
(continued) that makes all kinds of things possible, that weren't possible before.
