2012 was a phenomenal year for Awakening
with our artists performing in 101 concerts around the world,
attended by 128,350 people in 23 countries including
Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia,
Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA, and many more
Our concerts were sponsored by global brands like
Canon, Yahoo, McDonald's, Warner Music, and Pepsi
Maher Zain’s second album ‘Forgive Me’ was released to worldwide acclaim,
with 4 different versions: English, Malay, Arabic and Vocals-Only versions
The album went multi-platinum within days of its release
And, in December, Awakening Records released The Best of Islamic Music compilation album,
featuring 16 tracks from the biggest names in Islamic Music
Awakening has continued to inspire millions of people around the world through the production of high quality music videos,
and has also released a number of Official Lyrics Videos online to make its artists' songs more easily accessible
In the world of social media, Awakening had strong growth in 2012,
with our YouTube subscribers almost quadrupling from 50,000 to over 185,000 subscribers
Our video views more than doubled from 46 million to almost 115 million views
The number of uploaded videos increased by almost 80%, going from 148 to 234 videos
And on Twitter, our combined number of followers increased from 500,000 to almost 1.2 million followers
While on Facebook, our combined number of fans doubled from 4 million to 8 million fans
Awakening and its artists were featured on TV and radio stations plus many newspapers and magazines all around the world
Awakening Publications released three new books written by three world- renowned authors:

A Journey To God by Dr Jasser Auda - And
Western Muslims by Professor Tariq Ramadan
Awakening expanded its distribution network with new distribution deals signed in many countries around the world
Orders placed on AwakeningStore.com are now shipped to your doorstep, wherever you are in the world
Our digital distribution partners include: iTunes, Amazon, Spotify,
Vodafone, Maxis, Zain, Telkomsel, Maroc Telecom, and many more
We also took part in a number of charity concerts and fundraising events around the world
and raised more than 2 million dollars for charity
