So, here's the base of our turtle, and we're ready to add the top shell. This is a real
easy part. We're basically going to just add glue to the inside, both sides, plenty of
glue. Bottom part, top part. And then what we're going to do is we're going to just press
it down. If it doesn't stay right away, that's alright, you could use an extra pipe cleaner,
a couple pieces of tape, and just tape it to the outside, just to hold it down long
enough for it to dry. You just want to keep it in place. And while it's drying, we can
embellish a little bit. This is a good time to add a little bit of paint. So we could
add some greens to our turtle shell. Holding it down firmly, letting the glue set on the
inside. And foil's a really interesting surface to paint on. You can almost wash it over,
and if you add a little bit of water, you're going to still see the effects of the foil
coming through. We can continue to do that. We can also add some googly eyes, which make
it fun. And we want to find a flat surface on the head so we can press it down, get our
glue ready,
and add the eyes. Now this guy's going to need to dry in a safe place. And again, if
you need to tie him up with a pipe cleaner, just to hold him in place, he'll dry pretty
securely. Everything will stay in place, and then if you need to, you can always go around
with a stapler and staple those loose ends.
