A man and a woman wanted in connection
with the alleged kidnapping of a two year-old
from Panmure last month
has appeared in court.
Phillip Layton Edwards
has been on the run for more than three weeks
after the 2 year old boy went missing from his home in Panmure
and later found by police in a nearby shed.
Edwards was found and arrested
at a property in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, at 3am this morning
along with an associate, 25-year-old Maryanne Nahi.
Edwards is facing four charges,
including two counts of male assaults female,
one for kidnapping
and one for unlawfully taking a vehicle.
Nahi faces one charge for being an accessory after the fact.
