STEVE: The web has really been amazing
when it comes to medical.
I do try to research and see what type of conditions I may
or my friends or loved ones may be having.
And I'm finding it very helpful.
VALORIE: So I have looked online with my condition,
which is anaphylaxis.
I actually know what I can eat and can not eat.
And the internet does help me considerably.
LISA: I do research online about different medications
that my mom is on, stuff like that.
Myself, I do research through magazine articles, American
Medical Association journals.
And I do access all of that through the web.
DALE: Well, if I use the internet, I usually look at
two different websites that carry medical information.
And from then on, I go to my health care provider so that I
have a little bit of background information before
I go to them.
CHRIS: So that when I talk to my physician, I can ask
informed questions.
And I can better understand the results that I get, in the
context of whether or not I fall within the range of
normal, or if I'm outside the range of normal.
LINDA: Before I go to the doctor with regard to a
specific problem, I might Google that problem just to
see what somebody might say online.
And then I can raise those issues with my doctor.
LYNN: I do a search online.
I probably just would use Google.
