The support for Together In Mission actually gives the opportunity
for many children to participate in a Catholic education
and to get the good Catholic values that they need and will not get
elsewhere
When Jesus taught us to love our neighbor, he meant to open our hearts all the way
and the best way we know how to do that is when we see kids
When Jesus taught us love your neighbor he meant
to always be nice
I learned to treat others the way I want to be treated
You can do anything with God's help
and that nothing is impossible
When Jesus said love your neighbor he meant that even if
your neighbor's your enemy, you should still love them
To get a good education, we need somethings
and Together in Mission helps us because they provide those things for us
We're all apart of one family in this archdiocese
but we have to reach out to those parishes that are struggling
Most of our children, 92% are on financial aid
The children that live in this area are surrounded by crime
they're surrounded by drugs, most of them have parents that
are working two, three jobs to try to make ends meet
to give their kids a better future.
So kids are really struggling with a lot of things
Many families in this parish are, if we think about it
very close to homelessness
While we have a set tuition rate, none of our families can really
realistically make that payment, so we truly depend on
the generosity and support of everyone in our community
If it wasn't for Together in Mission, our doors would not stay open
In fact, I wouldn't even open them tomorrow morning if the money was taken away
If we had to close our doors, there would be so many people without food
without clothes, without a place to worship
without a place to feel safe. And that's a terrible situation especially for those kids
We're all brothers and sisters, so just as we might help
our true blood sister or brother, we should help each other
We're supposed to love everyone and help everyone
and that's what God wants us to do
The bottom line is, we have to help each other
The poor are among us, those less fortunate, for our good
so we can give to them. You know when you give, it feels so good
We are very grateful for all of the generous donors because
without those checks, we would not be able to continue providing
Catholic education in our valley and we are exceptional grateful
That's why Mother Teresa said, whatever you give
that is your wealth in heaven
We have to love our neighbor, we have to reach out to our neighbor because
our neighbor needs us as much as we need our neighbor
Love your neighbor
I am your neighbor
Please support Together in Mission
Please give to Together in Mission
Please support Together in Mission
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
Amen
