It doesn’t... improve your life, it makes you want things...creates want... and it's like...
“Do you have it yet?” “When are you getting yours?”
They're so smart when they make these ads, you know!
Advertising, any company, when it's starting up, it advertises. Watching that we learn how the product is useful for us.
It's just that I get aware about new brands that are coming in. That is it, it doesn’t improve my life as such.
The benefit for us is that we get to see all these things... We don’t have to go anywhere to see them.
We hear and see what the radio and TV show us.
In today’s age the advantage of advertising is, people become aware of things they don’t know, and how things should be like.
Well, I become more knowledgeable, I know what people like...
For knowledge and all, I always welcome this. But it's not that if I have a particular brand... I'm happy and all.
I don’t know the benefit, but at least we are aware of so many things which are happening right now, that is only because of advertising,
Because it’s normal human tendency to observe, whether it's a print ad, hoarding, banner, TV commercial or any sort of thing.
Which will always... you know... put some impact on you.
Only if I can understand it, only then perhaps it can affect my life. Otherwise it has no effect.
Someone who is really content in his contained environment, you place him in another situation where everyone wants something else,
Ok, and then he ends up wanting that, that he never even wanted in the first place.
It's such an influence, and I think advertisements are really bad. They are creating most of the problems.
The world around you matters.
Whatever one does, whatever it may be, from a human perspective, it shouldn't have any wrong effect on anyone.
Happiness where I live.
May god bless everyone. As we sow, so shall we reap.
This is enough.
If you can, do good unto others, don’t harm anyone. There is no religion in the world, there is nothing,
Humanity is the biggest religion. There is no Ram, no Krishna, no Allah, no Messiah, ok?
These are all politics of religious leaders. In Hindu-Muslim conflicts who dies? Simple men! People who riot are rogues.
They intentionally kill and spread terror and loot shops. And politicians take advantage of that, isn't it?
And if there is a Ram or an Allah then may lightning strike at that very moment, and may they say “You are all one”!
Then no Hindu will kill a Muslim and no Muslim will kill a Hindu. This is all a sham, there is no such thing as God.
There is only humanity in the world, if one human can understand another, great! If not, too bad.
I think electricity is good, technology is bad.
Technology is the best thing. The deeper you get into technology, the more you learn.
Technology is good, but it's bad also. It makes people very handicapped, makes them very lazy.
I don’t want to change channels by going there every time and changing! That’s how technology spoils people. But it's good also, if you use it in a certain way.
Good, if it’s used sensibly... again.
Going forward it helps a lot. In a world which is moving faster, you need technology to do things faster.
Technology is the best thing. It is because of technology that we have advanced so much since the wheel...
That today even a garbage picker has a cellphone to call and ask, “Should I come, I’ve filled the sacks!”
We must have technology! For change, technology is essential.
Ya I can, but it depends on the situation... You need those things. When the whole world has changed, you have to change along with it. So, you need to have them.
Absolutely, I have not bought a phone. Someone gifted me one, so I use it.
Yes, I live without a TV. I don’t live without a cell phone!
No, its not possible to live without a phone or a TV.
I'm living without a TV since 6, 7, 8 years. So I don’t really need a TV. About phone... it's not possible, it's again the comfort zone!
Yes, as of today I'm 61 years old, and I live without a TV and a phone.
Ya, I can live without a TV, I can live without a phone, She lives without a phone! I would love to live without a phone, seriously.
Today's world won’t work without phones. In earlier days, a man would walk 2-5 kms to call on someone.
Today, even if someone’s standing at a window in front, he would call him and ask "Hey, are you coming?"
A blue tooth.
They wouldn’t understand it. Even if I tried to explain, they wouldn’t understand. It's as simple as that.
They couldn’t even think of it. They'd consider these greater than Gods, saying “God could perform miracles with His hand, but these go even further!”
They’d just make fun of us, “What are you doing! What Bluetooth, what Blackberry?”
In the 80s and 90s you had these movies, where you'd touch it and it comes...And now you have it! You have it.
So that’s the same thing for them. “Phones? What is this!”
There is only one cause of wars. Religious differences, who are you and who am I?
This arrogance leads to war. If we lived as one, there would be no more war.
Sometimes its ego, sometimes social condition, sometimes... difference of opinion, religion and...
Everything put together, you know? It's painful. I think nobody would love it, nobody wants it that way.
Today someone wants my field or I want someone else's field, we fight. Similarly, big leaders fight for countries.
It's more of a fight for resources.
In the past, wars were fought to expand one’s territory, one’s clout. These days it's like what George Bush did.
In the Iraq war, so many are dead. Thousands are still dying, including American soldiers. First Saddam Hussein did this. He captured Kuwait for the oil fields.
Getting all Islamic nations to unite and fight America as one. But America divided them through politics.
To prove oneself bigger. “I'm more powerful than you”. That’s all.
This is mine. If you say it’s yours, we fight. But really, everything belongs to God, and to all of us together.
For no reason, we fight with each other. Everything is His, it's for all of us, whatever we say.
I'm pro-war, if it means it's going to end it right there and then, whatever the dispute is.
But if there are politics beyond that, I don’t think it's worth it. Personally I respect any kind of army.
I criticize the people who probably arrange for it. I don’t criticize the people who are there.
Point is, each one wants to take advantage. I don’t think there's any benefit, at least not for the public.
The plotters at the top are the ones who benefit. No one understands this, maybe it’s beyond me too. Even I could be a victim of all this.
This is also a business now. Use the ones that don’t understand, so you can further your agenda.
It's a lot I think, but I don’t know how successful.
I really don’t know, but it's a huge amount of money.
A lot! It's just sad that they have to spend so much money because of these insecurities that the nations have.
No I don’t know that much, but India must be spending 30% of it's income on defense.
Annually, the government must be spending about 10-12 crores... 50 crores.
32,000 crore rupees, but that’s a rough estimate.
Well, I believe that most of India’s money is spent on this department. That too for public security. Which they basically take from us.
No but my father works with paramilitary.
My friend's brother died, he was posted in the Army.
Yes, he lost his life to violence. He was a member of my family. He died in the Godhra incident.
He was family. We waited for 5 days to collect his body from the Civil Hospital. I am living proof of it.
Yes, my very good friend, Colonel Vasant Venugopal. He was a martyr at Doda. He was posted here at Gandhinagar.
He said “I'm born to fight” and “I want to die for my country”... from childhood. And he did it.
I miss him.
