today i'm gonna show you how you can upgrade the iOS on your iphone
without having to connected to your computer or using itunes
this works on an iphone and ipod or an ipod touch. Whenever apple releases an
upgrade to iOS you will get a notification
will show up down on your little settings icon like this
or if you wait long enough you might pop up on your screen and look something
like this
but usually those notifications aren't instant sometimes they can take hours or
days from the time that Apple releases an upgrade until you see that notification
so this is how you can check to make sure that your IOS is up to date
and force an update if it's not. first just tap on settings
..tap on general and
and then tap on and "software update"
and if it's up to date it will look something like this
your iPhone will check to see what version you're running and to see what version
is available
if it's not up to date you'll get a notification that will look like this
and i have to do is hit the right button to start the update
yet they will download over the air and it may may take a few minutes for the whole
process to finish you should always be sure that you plug the device into a
power source while this is happening because if the iphone to lose power in
the middle of an upgrade that could damage your iPhone
that's all there is to it as you can see it's pretty simple but you have any
questions please post them in the comments below
