Our short ribs are almost there. They're ready to come off the stove. And they sure are heavy.
Of course, it?s not the ribs that are heavy, it's the cast iron pan. But the next thing
I want to do is take these gorgeous pieces of meat out. I'm going to set these onto a
platter, because I want to strain the liquid. And, as you an see, as I'm taking the meat
out it's just literally falling apart, and these glorious, smells like heaven in here.
Smells like heaven. This is home, this is family, this is all the good things in life
in a pot. That's how I was raised, everything happened that was great around a dinner table
and I am so thankful for that. It took me to the love of my life, which is food. And
I eat everything and I eat all the time. You wouldn't know it. Well, maybe a little further
down the backside just a little bit. We're going to take this over to the stove and strain
it.
