There are three main tourist areas in Jamaica.
That is Montego Bay, and to the east is Ocho Rios, to the west is Negril.
We take Montego Bay for example,
it is a, a large cruise destination so shopping is one of its attractions.
Montego Bay is also known for its night life. It is a more active city.
When you head east to Ocho Rios, you will pass through the areas
of Falmouth and Rio Bueno and into Ocho Rios.
And this is traditionally where a lot of the tours take place.
Ocho Rios is known for Dunn’s River falls. Of course that’s the,
the falls where you begin at the bottom and slowly
make your way across slippery rocks weaving your way through the falls
to the top and looking down over the, the bay and the,
the falls that you’ve just climbed. With the rolling hills in the Ocho Rios area
there’s golfing on top of one of the mountains. Which if you are a golfer
is a great place to golf because anytime of the day you'll have a gorgeous
breeze. So, make your Tee off time for two in the afternoon. It doesn’t matter.
You’ll be able to golf. It won’t be too hot for you.
If you are into Reggae you’ll want to pay you homage to Bob Marley
the king of Reggae in Jamaica, you can go visit his house
and that’s not too far outside of Ocho Rios either.
Heading back towards the Negril area in the west.
Negril is known for three things in my opinion;
cliff diving at Rick’s Café of course.
It’s also known for its gorgeous sunsets. It has some of the most
spectacular sunsets I have ever seen in the Caribbean.
And of course the other item that
Negril is renowned for is its Seven Mile Beach.
It is a little longer than seven miles actually but it is again, white sand,
not a lot of surf, quite calm waters for those who like to enjoy water sports
and those who like to walk on end.
There are resorts and activities that cater to younger families,
there are resorts and activities that cater to singles,
to alternate life styles, to adults only, to couples only,
and we can certainly find something that will meet your particular needs.
