Lets talk about in-home care and home health. A lot of people get them confused, they sound
about the same but they're actually two seperate entities. Home care needs are strictly non
medical. That would be someone who you would bring in for what's called custodial care,
meaning help with your housekeeping, help with fixing meals, help with driving to appointments.
HOme health on the other side is anything clinical that needs to be brought in. That
is where you bring in a private duty nurse, that is where you would have in home physical
therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy. Those are covered by private insurance or
Medicare, for our seniors. In home care is funded private pay, which means you pay out
of pocket. Prices range anywhere from $16-$60 per hour. Anytime you want good sound advice
on who to bring into your home call us, let us analyize your situation and take a look
at your home situation and we will advise you to the best resources and help your money
last longer.
